Four injured in assault

JAMMU, May 3: Four persons were injured today in a clash over playing DJ here in Paharian Mohalla.
According to a police spokesman, a scuffle broke out late last night between two neighbour families in Paharian Mohalla after one objected the playing of DJ by the other during late night hours. However, with the intervention of other neighbours the issue was solved.
“But again in the morning both the families engaged in a verbal duel, which soon took an ugly turn and both the families attacked each other with lathies and iron rods”, he said, adding in the attack four persons received injuries.
“The injured have been identified as Pyara Singh (40) son of Darbar Singh, his wife namely Sukhdevi (32) and daughter, Kiran (16) from one family and Nanak Singh (30) son of Jagdish Singh from other party. All the injured are residents of Paharian Mohalla, Jammu and were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared Pyara Singh as not fit for statement”, the spokesman further added.
He said a case in this connection was registered at Police Station City and investigations were underway.
