Four injured in road accidents

JAMMU, June 24: Four persons were injured today in separate road accidents in city and its outskirts.
“A youth identified as Atul Verma (30) son of Satish Kumar, resident of House number 630, Ashok Nagar, Satwari, grievously injured when a bike on which he was travelling, was hit by an unknown vehicle on flyover at Jewel,” a police official said.
He said that another mishap occurred at Narwal Byepass where a speeding car hit a scooty and injured its rider namely Vinod Dhar, son of BI Dhar, resident of Jagti Colony.
“A 20-year-old youth namely Surjan son of Vijay Saini, resident of Chakroi (Bishnah) got hurt badly in Pandori area of Bishnah when a bike he was riding slipped on the road while a pedestrian identified as Banso (55) wife of late Sukha Ram, resident of Valmiki Colony (Gandhi Nagar), was injured when a scooty hit her while she was crossing the road near Valmiki Colony,” he added.
The official said that all the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment while concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter in all four cases.
