Four injured in two assault cases

JAMMU, Sept 12: Four persons were injured today in two separate assault cases in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, two persons were injured today in an assault case at Chakra in Bishnah area of city outskirts and the injured identified as Raguveer Singh (40) son of Harbans Lal and Rashpal (50) son of Bishamber Dass (50), both residents of Chakra in Bishnah, were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
“As the condition of both the injured were not fit for statement, it could not be ascertained who attacked them and why”, he said adding a case in this connection has been registered at police station Bishnah and further investigations started.
Meanwhile, a clash also broke out this afternoon between two student unions here in the premises of Government Gandhi Memorial Science College over an unknown issue. In the clash, two students identified as Avinash (19) son of Yashpal, a resident of Bishnah and Ashish (20) son of Kishan Sharma, a resident of Talab Tillo, got minor injuries and were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
A case in this connection has been registered at police station Nowabad and further investigations started.
