UDHAMPUR, June 13: Police seized four kg of poppy straw (Bhukki) near Chenani National Highway from the Truck, driver arrested Truck seized, today.
Based on a specific input, a police team led by SHO Police Station Chenani inspector Ajit Singh, laid a surprise naka on National Highway near Chenani and intercepted a suspicious Truck bearing registration number JK14D-3771 was on its way from Kashmir to Jammu.
During the through search of the Truck, 4 kg poppy straw was recovered and truck driver namely Mohammed Yousaf son of Abdul Majid of Challyar Chenani were arrested on the spot and Truck seized.
In this connection, a case under Section 8/15 NDPS Act registered in Police Station Chenani and further investigation of the case is going on.
