Four narco smugglers held with heroin

SAMBA, Oct 12: Police here today under the supervision of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, arrested four narcotics smuggler and recovered about 90 gram Heroin like substance from their possession at Ghagwal.
A police party of Police Station Ghagwal led by SHO Inspector, Vijay Verma under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs. Samba, Mohd. Usman while on patrolling duty, intercepted four persons moving under suspicious circumstances near Cremation Ground at national highway Nonath Ghagwal.
During frisking of these persons police found about 90 gm Heroin like substance along with a cash of Rs. 88,200 and a weighing scale from their possession.
These persons were identified as Amandeep Singh son of Tarsem Singh resident of Tarn Taran; Deep Singh son of Baga Singh resident of Tarn Taran; Mirza Khan son of Alif Din resident of Rajpura Mandi Bhatiare, Jammu and Mohd. Sharif son of Mohd. Mirza resident of Ban Bhatiare Jammu.
All the accused have been arrested and the contraband item along with a motorcycle bearing number PB02EA-7442 seized.
A case in this regard has been registered in FIR No. 149/2022 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
