Four of family among 12 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Nov 22: Four persons of a family were among the 12 people who were injured in separate road accidents in Jammu District today, police said.
An Alto car hit with a tree near Check Post Nagrota, resulting in injuries to four persons of a family, they said. They were identified as Rajinder Kumar (50) son of Puran Chand, his wife Kanchan Bala (42), son Krishna (16), and daughter Rishika (19).
Meanwhile, eight other persons sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Jammu District.
At Bikram Chowk area of the District, one Asif (23) son of Abdul Latif of Ramban at present Prem Nagar suffered injuries after he was hit by a motorcycle.
One Ramlal (40) son of Kartar Chand of Miran Sahib suffered injuries after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a truck at Kunjwani area.
An SPO Harmeet Singh (30) son of Gurmeet Singh of RS Pura, presently posted with GRP Jammu was injured after his motorcycle was hit by a load carrier auto at Kotli Shah Doula, R S Pura.
One Manohar Lal (64) son of Mangat Ram of Channi Himmat Jammu sustained injuries after he was hit by a motorcycle near Yamaha showroom at Malik Market, Jammu.
At Bikram Chowk area, one Deepak Singh (31) son of Ramesh Singh of Bharat Nagar, Bantallab, suffered injuries after his motorcycle was hit by a car.
One Kalla (15) son of Fuka of Khanpur Nagrota was injured at Toll Post Nagrota after his motorcycle was hit by a car.
At Digiana Ashram area, one Ruchit (32) son of Ravinder Pal of Rehari, Jammu, sustained injuries after his motorcycle was hit by an unknown vehicle.
One Rajan Kumar (35) son of Darshan Kumar of Gharana, RS Pura, was injured at Mokhey after the motorcycle he was riding on was hit by a tractor.
While separate cases have been registered at different police stations all the injured have been hospitalised and further investigations in all the cases are underway.
