DODA, Apr 15: A devastating fire here today inflicted massive damage to a four storey building in Challar area of Gandoh Sub-Division in the mountainous Doda district.
Six shops along with six vehicles were gutted in the blaze.
After hectic efforts, locals of the area and cops doused the fire thereby saving the adjoining structures from damage.
The gutted house belonged to Abdul Gani Malik, resident of village Challar.
The blaze also inflicted massive damage to six shops, two motorcycles, a car of Eeco make, another car of Bolero make and still one more car of Alto K10 make.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigations to ascertain the cause of fire.
