Four workers injured in blaze incident

Srinagar, Apr 29: Four workers were injured today after fire broke out in the steel furnace of diamond grinding steel industries at IGC Lassipora Industrial Estate in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The fire broke out at around 2:50 pm and resulted in burn injuries to four non-local workers identified as Ramu of Gorakhpur, Ganesh Kumar of Nawab Gunj in Uttar Pradesh, Ravi Das of UP and Rahi of Bihar.
All the injured and other employees working in the industry were evacuated by the timely action of the police and were immediately hospitalized for treatment, said an official. The blaze was brought under control by police and fire tenders.
