Fourth phase of LS polls witnesses 59.47 percent voter turnout till 1800 hrs

NEW DELHI: The fourth phase of Lok Sabha poll concluded on Monday, with a total voter turnout of 59.47 percent by 1800 hours.

The Lok Sabha polls were conducted for 72 seats spread across nine states.

Voter turnout of 53.67 percent was recorded in Bihar while Madhya Pradesh recorded 65.86 percent voting and Jammu and Kashmir recorded 9.79 percent.

Maharashtra recorded polling percentage of 51.80 percent while Odisha recorded 64.05 percent and Rajasthan witnessed 63.23 percent polling.

Polling percentage of 53.25 was recorded in Uttar Pradesh while West Bengal recorded a turnout of 76.59 percent and Jharkhand witnessed 63.76 percent turnout. (AGENCIES)
