JAMMU, Sept 16: The Crime Branch of state police has registered a case against Channi based fraudster for cheating by way of supplying mud and sand instead of charcoal.
The cheat, S Tharagaval from New MMS and Sons Ltd, c/o 1/129 Parans Kudi Road Parthibnur Ramanatha Puram, Tamil Nadu was booked on the complaint of one Tapan Dubey Director, Shree Sita Ram Industries SIDCO Complex Bari Brahmana Jammu. The Tamil Nadu based firm supplied 1300 mt ton charcoal at the rate of Rs 8000 per mt ton valuing Rs 1.04 crore to the Jammu firm. For long the TN firm delayed the supply and later it was found that instead of charcoal mud and sand had been supplied in the goods, causing great loss to the Jammu firm. The Crime Branch registered a case and started investigation.
