JAMMU, Nov 24: A fraudster has created a fake WhatsApp profile of Director General of Police, RR Swain.
According to police, the fraudster has been using a number +998914128090 with photo of DGP Swain as his Display Picture (DP). They have accordingly requested the public to avoid responding to the fraudster.
“Action as warranted under law has been initiated against the fraudster and people in general have been requested not to reply/respond to this number,” read a statement issued by the police.
Meanwhile, they have further requested the public to report any transaction with this account, resulting in a loss or otherwise, to their nearest Police Station or Cyber Police Station in Srinagar and Jammu.
