JAMMU, Oct 29: ASCOMS in collaboration with Batra Hospital Sidhra organized a free eye camp at Sri Hari Prabhu Ashray, Nagrota Gujroo, tehsil Billawar.
On the occasion, Retd Lieutenant General LP Sadotra was the chief guest, who inaugurated the camp in presence of ID Soni, Prof Satpal Srivatas, general secretary of Sanstha and SC Gupta.
During the camp, a team of Doctors including Priyanka, Sushma and Kamal Sharma Ophthalmic Assistants led by Dr P Sadhotra HoD Opthamology ASCOMS examined around 180 patients hailing from Billawar, Basohli and Ramnagar.
Out of these patients, 35 patients were screened for cataract surgery who will be operated free of cost at Batra Hospital. Sanstha will provide free transportation to such patients from Nagrota Gujroo to Jammu.
Besides distribution of free medicines, 34 free spectacles were also given to poor and needy patients, which were sponsored by Kamal Eye Swastik Centre Nagrota Gujroo.
