JAMMU, Feb 12: Viklang Chhatra Trust organised a free eye check-up camp at Jhiri here.
In the camp, Dr Satish Gupta, HoD Ophthalmology Department GMC Jammu with his team of 12 doctors conducted OPD and 355 patients were checking for any illness of eyes. Out of these, 45 patients were identified as been suffering from cataract.
The trust provided free eye drops to all the patients.
Moreover, the patients who were found suffering from cataract during the camp will be operated and treated in GMC and will be fitted with Intra-Ocular Lenses. Free spectacles, eye drops and pre and post operation medicines for the cataract patients will also be provided.
