JAMMU, Mar 24: A free medical camp was organized at Channi Himmat by Khatri and Arora Consortium in which a large number of people from all walks of life irrespective of caste, colour and creed visited and got their diseases diagnosed, treated and provided required medicines absolutely free of cost.
Six doctors, Dr Tahir Afzal, Dr A Lone, Dr Asrar Khan, Dr Preeti Sharma, Dr Zeeshan Ahmed Syed and Dr Shahaan Ahmed Syed of different streams like Orthopaedics, General Physician, Physiotherapist, ENT, and Ophthalmology (Eye Surgeons) examined more than 150 patients over a period of more than four hours.
The camp was organized with physical support of a team of executive members of the Consortium which was headed by its president Advocate VK Grover and assisted by vice-presidents Adarsh Pandoh & Vandana Maini, general secretary Rajesh Pandoh and joint secretary PK Talwar.
A team of office bearers of Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat led by its president Vipan Mahajan also attended the Camp. Their vice-president Mohan Gupta donated all the medicines used during the Camp. The venue for holding the Camp was provided by consortium member Ashwani Kohli.
Prominent among those present in the camp were BB Puri, Vipan Bhatia, Nitesh Abrol, Rajnesh Kapoor, Ashok Nargotra, Rajan Batta, Verinder Nargotra, Parveen Ahluwalia, BM Gandotra, Anoop Anand, Sunil Abrol and Harish Kapoor.
