Free Orthopedic Camp held at Purkhoo

JAMMU, July 29: A free Orthopedic Camp was organized today at Purkhoo migrant camp. The camp was organized by Department of Orthopedics, ASCOMS and Hospital, Sidhra Jammu in association with Jammu and Kashmir Orthopedic Association.
The Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Prof. & Head, of Department of Orthopedics and Daya Krishan, president Purkhoo Migrant Camp. As already stated in the press conference on July 22 that this free Orthopedic Camp is a part of Bone and Joint Day activities . The Bone and Joint Day is celebrated all over India on August 4. To celebrate this day, Indian Orthopedic Association (IOA) and Jammu and Kashmir Orthopedic Association (JKOA) has planned a number of activities all over State for the benefit of poor and needy people.
Around 150 patients were examined in the camp today and free medicines were also distributed. The patients were also screened for free surgeries which will be conducted w.e.f August 1 to August 8 this year at ASCOMS and Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu. The team of doctors who examined the patients comprised of Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Dr. Aslam Bhat, Dr. Sunny Sharma and Dr. Vikas Choudhary. The camp was supervised by Raj Kumar, Sports Officer, ASCOMS & Hospital.
