Free ration provided to affected people of Pancheri: Wani

JAMMU, Mar11: Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani intervening during the Zero Hour in the Upper House informed that the District Administration, Udhampur has provided one month free ration to the affected people of  Pancheri and maintained that  after paying on-the spot visit to the area it was observed that various roads were washed away due to heavy rains thereby cutting  off  various areas.
The Minister was replying to an issue raised by Jugal Kishor during the Zero Hour. He said Administration has been asked to provide two months ration.
Dr. Shehnaz Ganai demanded early release of honorarium in favour of Anganwari Helpers and Workers and salary to staff they are unpaid for last six months working in the Social Welfare Department, she said.
Expressing sympathies with the bereaved family of a person, who got electrocuted in Haveli, Poonch, she called for compensation to the next of the kin of the deceased, besides conducting inquiry into of the incident.
Dr. Bashir  Ahmad Veeri  while appreciating the role of the security forces  said that the they should be asked to use minimum force  while dealing with law and order situation.
Ghulan Ahmed Monga while drawing the attention of the Government towards shortage of essential commodities, in certain areas   pleaded for removing security forces from the areas where there is no requirement.
Jehangir Mir demanded holding the meeting of Departmental Promotional Committee in Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department to fill the vacancies lying vacant under promotion quota in the department. He also sought probe in Haveli electrocution issue in which one person was killed.
Aga Syed Rizvi demanded additional flights for Leh and Kargil from Jammu and Srinagar, besides charging nominal fare from the passengers.
Naresh Kumar Gupta demanded early declaration of results of professional colleges in the State.  He also pleaded for making Bhaderwah University Campus a full-fledged.
Syed Rafiq Shah drew the attention of the Government towards dilapidated condition of Trehgam Hospital whose window panes were smashed during curfew restrictions.
Subash Chander Gupta demanded early release of compensation to the beneficiaries of Kathua district whose land was mined during 2001, besides acquired for construction of chowkies, ditches and fencing purposes in the district by the Army. He said villagers are sitting on dharna at Chak Changa in Hira Nagar.
Javid Rana called for simplifying the verification process, so that the persons applying for passport and selected for Govt. jobs do not face any inconvenience on this account.
Syed Asgar Ali demanded helicopter service to Warwan, Marwah and Dachan area of Kishtwar district.
Master Noor Hussain raised the issue of dead animals lying on National Highway and demanded for evolving a mechanism for their removal from the roads.
B R Kundal drew the attention of Government towards speed breakers on the roads of rural areas demanding their construction as per proper specifications and demarcation.
Vijay Bakaya raised the issue of teachers appointed under PM Package in Kashmir valley.  He said their leave should be extended keeping in view the prevailing situation in the Valley.
Sham Lal Bhagat demanded construction of protection bunds, under MNREGA in hilly areas of Kishtwar district to check soil erosion.
