JAMMU, Nov 8: J&K Freedom Fighters Association at a function at Ved Mandir Ambphalla here today paid rich tributes to Shaheed Master Abdul Aziz and Mohammed Maqbool Sherwani who fought the Pak raiders in 1947 and laid down their lives to save the people of Kashmir and paved the way for Indian Army to push back the raiders and save the mother land.
The function was organized by president of the Association Ved Gandotra and PDP candidate for Jammu East Bharat Choudhary was the chief guest on the occasion.
The speakers, while paying tributes to these martyrs asked the separatists to learn a lesson from them and join the national mainstream. They also appealed them to choose the path of non violence chosen by Mahatma Gandhi and work with zeal to safeguard the lives of people from terrorists.
B L Gupta, chairman of the Association, Tej Ram Dogra, Jagjit Singh etc participated in the function.
