JAMMU, Sept 5: Union Government has set the ambitious target of providing housing to all by 2022. On the lines of this vision, freehold residential plots, duly approved by the Punjab Government and State Bank of India, have been launched near International Airport and Aerocity to facilitate those in limited income group (having annual income below Rs 6 lakhs).
Under this affordable housing scheme, special quotas have been planned for defence personnel, government/semi-government employees, sports category, people with disabilities and NRIs for whom no income limit is prescribed.
Providing 187 plots at much lower prices, this scheme by Royale Estate Affordable Housing is open till 11th of September 2019. The forms are available at around 60 branches of SBI in the region. Online applications can be filled at mohali.reah.in.
The price for plots available under the scheme ranges from Rs 13,16,000 to 19,74,000 (plot size varying from 80 to 120 square yards). The applicants need to deposit Rs 11,000/- as earnest money (refundable) along with the application. The draw will be held on 22nd of September and possession will be handed over within six months.
A dignified life for those in the limited income group bracket will be the hallmark at Royale Estate Affordable Housing scheme.
Among the amenities provided include two-tier security, built-up club house, swimming pool, gym, theme park and purified water. Punjab’s first approved and affordable township is located on Chandigarh-Patiala National Highway, in close proximity to International Airport and Aerocity.
