NEW DELHI, Feb 17:Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations rose by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following busy cargo movements along with short position of trucks.
Transporters said thin availability of trucks in the market along with better cargo movements mainly led to rise in freight rates.
Delhi to Vijayawada Chennai Puducherry and Coimbatore freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 58,000, Rs 63,000, Rs 67,000 and Rs 70,000.
Rates for Mumbai, Surat, Bengaluru, Mysore and Kochi also went up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 27,000, Rs 26,000, Rs 61,000, Rs 65,000 and Rs 73,000.
