NEW DELHI, Juyl 12: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations eased by Rs 500 in the local truck transport market today following excess enquiries by truck operators against restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said easy availability of trucks in the markets along with rsetricted cargo movements, mainly weighed on freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Jaipur, Ludhiana, Indore and Chandigarh freight rates were down by Rs 500 each to Rs 20,000, Rs 22,000, Rs 23,000 and Rs 21,000.
Freight rates for Vijaywada, Banglore, Gwaalior and Mysore also eased by Rs 500 each to Rs 62,000, Rs 65,000, Rs 16,000 and Rs 71,000.
