NEW DELHI, Sept 19: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section to select Southern destinations eased by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following easy truck positions against restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said limited cargo movements and large position of trucks in the markets, mainly pulled down some of southern centres freight rates.
Delhi to Bengaluru and Chennai freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 59,000 and Rs 62,000.
Rates to Mysore and Puducherry also went down by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 64,000 and Rs 65,000.
