Freight rates fall on excess trucks position

NEW DELHI, Mar 11:  Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following tight movements of cargo against excess position of trucks.
Transporters said huge position of trucks against restricted cargo movements mainly pulled down freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Indore, Baroda, Patna and Pune freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 21,000, Rs 23,000, Rs 26,000 and Rs 29,000.
Rates to Mumbai, Coimbatore, Kochi and Bengaluru also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 27,000, Rs 74,000, Rs 77,000 and Rs 64,000.
