NEW DELHI, Nov 5: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations were down by up to Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following easy availability of trucks against restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said large position of trucks in the market mainly brought down some of the centres freight rates.
Delhi to Chennai and Mysore freight rates fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 66,000 and Rs 69,000.
Rates to Jaipur and Chandigarh also moved down by Rs 500 each to Rs 17,000 and Rs 18,000.
