NEW DELHI, Apr 7: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations rose by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following heavy movements of cargo amid shortage of trucks.
Transporters said paucity of trucks in the market amid busy cargo movements mainly led to a rise in freight rates of some centres .
Delhi to Hyderabad, Goa and Patna freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 57,000, Rs 60,000 and Rs 27,000, respectively.
Rates to Kochi, Vijayawada and Guwahati also moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 73,000, Rs 59,000 and Rs 61,000, respectively.
