NEW DELHI, Aug 12: Freight rates for the nine-tonne pay load section improved by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market today supported by pick up in cargo movements against tight trucks position.
Transporters said insufficient position of trucks in the market amid fresh cargo movements mainly pushed up some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Pune, Kolkata and Coimbatore freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 28,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 68,000.
Rates to Kochi, Vijayawada and Goa also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 71,000, Rs 59,000 and Rs 58,000.
