NEW DELHI, May 21: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section hardened by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following pick up in cargo movements amid tight positions of trucks.
Transporters said thin availability of trucks against pick-up in cargo movements mainly pushed up freight rates for select destinations.
Capital to Kochi, Chennai and Vijaywada freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 75,000, Rs 64,000 and Rs 55,000.
Rates to Hyderabad, Goa and Guwahati also went up by Rs 1,000 to Rs 53,000, Rs 52,000 and Rs 54,000.
