NEW DELHI, Jan 19: Freight rates for 10-tonne load section for select destinations rose by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following busy cargo movements coupled with less position of trucks.
Transporters said increased arrivals of cargo and short position of trucks mainly pushed up some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Coimbatore and Kochi rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 71,000 and Rs 73,000, respectively.
Rates to Guwahati and Pondicherry also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 50,000 and Rs 68,000, respectively.
