NEW DELHI, Oct 1: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section improved by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following busy cargo movements amid tight position of trucks in the market.
Transporters said increased cargo movements and tight position of trucks mainly pushed up the freight rates.
Delhi to Mumbai, Pune and Vijayawada freight moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 33,000, Rs 35,000 and Rs 62,000, respectively.
Baroda, Surat and Hyderabad freights also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 26,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 60,000, respectively.
