NEW DELHI, Feb 2: Freight rates for 10-tonne load rose by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today, following increased movements of cargo.
Transporters said increased arrivals of cargo and tight position of trucks mainly pushed up freights.
Capital to Vijaywada, Goa and Mysore rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 49,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 67,000, respectively.
Freights to Patna, Indore and Jaipur also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 27,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 14,000, respectively.
