NEW DELHI, Dec 29: Freight rates improved by Rs 1,000 for 10 tonne load in the local truck transport market today following busy cargo movements amid tight position of trucks.
Transporters said less availability of trucks in the markets against brisk cargo movement mainly pushed up the freights.
Delhi to Pune, Chennai, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 30,000, Rs 63,000, Rs 68,000 and Rs 22,000 respectively.
Rates to Baroda, Banglore, and Pondicherry also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 24,000, Rs 61,000 and Rs 66,000.
