NEW DELHI, June 25: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section improved by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following shortage of trucks against pick up in cargo movements.
Transporters said tight availability of trucks in the market against cargo movements, mainly pushed up freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Hyderabad and Vijaywada freight rates rose by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 57,000 and Rs 60,000.
Rates to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram also moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 80,000 and Rs 84,000.
