NEW DELHI, Dec 6: Freight rates for nine-tonne load for select destinations improved in the local truck transport market today following busy cargo movements.
Transporters said tight position of trucks against increased cargo movements mainly pushed up freight rates.
Delhi to Ahmedabad, Baroda and Mumbai freights moved up by Rs 500 ech to Rs 24,000, Rs 26,000 and Rs 29,000.
Rates to Pune and Kolkatta also gained by Rs.500 each to both depicted at Rs.31,000.

Chandigarh 18,000 Vijayawada 57,000
Ludhiana 19,000 Bangalore 63,000
Kanpur 19,000 Chennai 64,000
Indore 22,000 Mysore 66,000

Baroda 26,000 Coimbatore 70,000
Patna 27,000 Kochi 72,000
