I want to draw the attention of the concerned authorities that for the last 2-3 weeks, the frequency of electricity cuts has increased and untimely cuts are leading the people of Jammu to suffer a lot. Some are lucky enough to spend their sleeping hours in their cars by switching on their ACs but what about those who don’t have this facility and they just have a hope that “Light is about to come” but unfortunately they often spend their nights with this hope leading to misery. Pertinent to mention here that the Holy month of Ramzan is going to start within few days. Those who fast have to wake up in the 3rd quarter of the night and have their Sehri(meal) and engage in worship of Almighty afterwards. The fast this year will go on for more than 16 hours per day. There will be increase in temperature during the ongoing summer season as anticipated by the Indian Meteorological Department and following monsoon there will be increase in humidity. People are very worried of the prevailing situation of electricity supply but to the dismay of the these people the untimely cuts have yet not been checked. It is requested to the concerned authorities to address the grievances of the people related to this issue as soon as possible.
