JAMMU: A fresh batch of 2,224 Shri Amarnath pilgrims today left from Yatri Niwas base camp here amid ‘bam bam bhole’ chants for the holy cave shrine in South Kashmir.
The pilgrims this early morning left in a cavalcade of 85 vehicles. The yatris were comprised of 1522 male, 467 females, and 235 sadhus.
Pilgrims left for Pahalgam and Baltal to perform the pilgrimage in 85 vehicles, including 46 buses and 39 light motor vehicles.
”The Yatra is smoothly heading on the highway,” a police official here said. (AGENCIES)
