JAMMU, Jan 6: Security forces today launched fresh search operations in dense forest belt along the LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district after some civilians sounded police and Army that they had observed movement of suspicious persons in the area.
Security forces immediately combed Dabud area in Nowshera sector and subsequently extended search operations to Khodi, Darath, Moghaldaye and Potha.
Last Wednesday, two Army soldiers were martyred in a gunbattle with heavily-armed Pakistani infiltrators who were intercepted in Khari Thrayat forest while trying to sneak into India from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
However, no contact has been established with the militants, sources said.
