KATRA, Sept 11: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University held its much-anticipated Talent Hunt Program, organized by the Board of Cultural Activity (BCA), SMVDU showcasing the remarkable talents of the university’s freshers.
The event, a highlight of the university’s cultural calendar, saw an impressive array of performances from new students eager to make their mark. From melodious vocal performances and instrumental solos to captivating dance routines, bhangra, and dramatic skits, the stage was set for a celebration of creativity and youthful energy.
Dean of Students Welfare, Prof R K Mishra inaugurated the event emphasizing the importance of nurturing and showcasing student talent. He commended the freshers for their courage and creativity, noting that such events are crucial in fostering a vibrant campus culture.
Dr Rahul Sharma, the Cultural Coordinator, and Dr Rakesh Thusoo, the BCA president, played pivotal roles in organizing the event. Their dedicated efforts ensured that the Talent Hunt was a well-executed and memorable experience for everyone involved.
In addition to the individual acts, group performances brought a sense of camaraderie and teamwork to the stage, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the university community. The audience, composed of students, faculty, and staff, cheered on the performers with enthusiastic support, creating an encouraging atmosphere throughout the event.
