JAMMU, Oct 4: PCC chief spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma (ex-MLC) said that sensing defeat on the ongoing ULB elections BJP leaders have gone frustrated and making highly malicious and irresponsible utterances against the opposition especially Congress Party.
Addressing series of meetings in various wards of Nowshera and Sunderbani in district Rajouri today, Sharma lashed out at BJP leaders for making irresponsible and highly objectionable statements which speak of `mind set and the culture’ of Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that hall mark of BJP is to issue divisive, communal, cheap and malicious utterances against opposition, especially Congress party, particularly during election time.
PCC leaders said that as and when elections come in any part of country, BJP leaders go wild and loose their balance and spit venom against Congress Party as they have nothing their own to market. BJP will face worst ever poll debacle in ongoing ULB elections as well as coming Assembly elections in the state. People will not forgive BJP for its betrayal and surrender for the lust of power and said that Congress would register remarkable victory in the ongoing ULB elections.
Sharma alleged that Modi Government has been exposed for its misdeeds and falsehood and its continued attempt to divert attention of people from the real issues of corruption, black money, defence preparedness in the wake of threats from neighbourhood, failures to deal with China and Pakistan, failure on demonetization, failure to providing two crore jobs per year, disoriented GST, unprecedented hike of all items, the atmosphere of hatred and division in the country, increasing crimes against women, failures to control the fringe elements taking law into their hands on roads and streets etc and atrocities against minorities.
He said that Congress has always protected and preserved the multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi- religious diversity of this nation. Presently, the traditional peace and harmony is under serious threat and Congress is the only party which can restore the elements of trust and confidence amongst different section of society, he added.
Sharma appealed to the people to vote in favour of Congress Party for the overall development, peace and prosperity of the State.
