ISLAMABAD : Confirming that the proposed Foreign Secretary level talks tomorrow being rescheduled, Pakistan Foreign office today said that both countries are discussing new dates for the meeting.
“Talks will not be held tomorrow. Dono mumalik rabte mein hain aur foreign secretaries ki meeting ki tarikh par baat chal rahi hai(both countries were in touch and new dates for foreign secretaries meeting are under discussion),” Foreign Office spokesperson Kazi Khalilullah said in a briefing.
Pakistan made the announcement five hours ahead of India’s External Affairs Ministry was to hold a regular briefing this evening.
The spokesperson refused to confirmed the arrest of Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar, who is said to the mastermind behind the Pathankot Air Force airbase. “I am not aware of this,” the spokesperson said, adding that an official statement was issued yesterday after a high level meeting and he has nothing to add in that.
