JAMMU, Nov 30: Continuing his electioneering in Gandhi Nagar constituency, Minister for Horticulture, Culture and Congress candidate Raman Bhalla said that next Government in the State will be formed by Congress as people across three regions–Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have realized that only Congress can ensure equitable development.
He cautioned the people that from across the border all ill conceived attempts are being made to disturb the peaceful Assembly elections and appealed to the masses to lend helping hands to security forces to thwart incidents like Arnia.
Minister said this, while addressing series of election rallies in Nanak Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Chatha, Shastri Nagar, Preet Nagar, Qasim Nagar and Bhour Camp areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency. Highlighting his achievements, Bhalla claimed that during his 12 years tenure drinking water supplies, schools, dispensaries and power infrastructure have witnessed changes at larger extent.
Electrification of number of areas in the constituency was done by getting a number of electric poles and transformers installed and upgraded, Minister said, adding that around 15 schools have been upgraded to high and higher secondary level, which is catering to the needs of thousands of students at their doorsteps and all this happened due to the positive approach, sincerity and dedication of the Congress party towards the people.
Mr Bhalla added that construction of fly over at Vikram Chowk, 6 laning of Satwari to Kunjwani road, modern facilities at cremation grounds, upgradation of schools, opening of new playing fields and Public Health Centres (PHCs) and installation of over two dozen tube-wells are some of the works done during his tenure.
Meeting several people and youths individually, Minister promised them that future of the youths lies in the hand of Congress and he being their representative re-pledges bright career in private corporate sector through their special drives in Gandhi Nagar; shall open training/counseling centers to impart training and skill to compete in the competitive services of State and All India Services.
