KATHUA, Aug 10: Government Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree College, Hiranagar, affiliated to the University of Jammu, has been accredited at Grade B+ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC), Bangalore.
A peer Committee constituted by NAAC under the chairmanship of Prof. Jagdish P atnaik, Pro- Vice Chancellor, Mizoram University, Aizwal, Mizoram, Prof Vijay Fulari , Professor, Department of Physics, Shivaji University Kolhapur, Maharashtra and Dr.Renukaradhya SC Former Principal, Government First Grade College, Madhugiri, Tumkur Karnataka visited the College on August 2 and 3 this year.
Dr.Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College congratulated all the teaching and non teaching staff and said that it was a great honour for Government GLDM Degree College Hiranagar to get B+ Grade accreditation which is valid for five years with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.66 on a 7 point scale.
Prof. Sujat Khan, IQAC Coordinator also congratulated all the faculty members of the college and said that it should be considered just the beginning of progressive journey ahead and the college will continue to strive for excellence by encouraging learning atmosphere and building greater designers of tomorrow.
