JAMMU, Nov 20: The General Administration Department (GAD) of Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a committee under the Jammu and Kashmir Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme (RAS) 2022. A Nodal Officer has also been appointed to monitor the scheme.

As per an order, the committee constituted under the J&K RAS shall be headed by Special Secretary/Additional Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department (dealing with Jammu and Kashmir Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme). The officer shall also act as Nodal Officer under the scheme.
Besides, Deputy Secretary to the Government, GAD (dealing with J&K RAS), Under Secretary to the Government (dealing with RAS) and representative of Finance section, GAD to be nominated by Director Finance, GAD, shall be the members of the committee.
The mandate of the committee is to assess and consider the applications for compassionate appointment/monetary compensation of General Administration Department and the cases referred to the GAD by the different departments under J&K RAS 2022.
Another order said that Vikas Verma, Additional Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, shall act as the Nodal Officer for monitoring the implementation of the J&K Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme 2022.
