Gaddi Sabha discusses problems

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Aug 3: A meeting of office bearers of All J&K Gaddi Sabha was held under the chairmanship of Joginder Singh Chouhan wherein they discussed the demands of the community.
The speakers in the meeting alleged that since they are Hindus, hence the State Government has not cared for their development and it was regretted that National ST Commission has not made any mention of Gaddi/Sippi Tribes who stand declared as Scheduled Tribe since 1991, for their development.
The same Government of J&K has arranged seats in Legislature, Council and Cabinet also only because Gujjar/Bakerwals are Muslim and Gaddi/Sippi tribes stand neglected and not being considered for any membership not even at District level.
Other members present in the meeting were Vikas Singh, Sunny Kumar, Ashok Kumar and Hans Raj.
