JAMMU, Mar 22: All J&K Gaddi Sabha in meetings at Latyar, Kalsra, Katti, Kultyar and Lander in Tehsil Panchari discussed celebration of foundation day of Gaddi community.
These meetings were chaired by Kuldeep Kumar, youth president of the Sabha wherein it was decided that Gaddi Foundation Day shall be celebrated on April 10, 2022 in Udhampur as the community got Scheduled Tribe status on this day.
A handout of Sabha stated that village and Tehsil level committees of the Sabha have also been framed in Panchari to strengthen the community.
Suram Chand has been elected as chairman of the Tehsil Pancheri Committee; Mohinder Singh, president; Rahul Singh, senior vice president; Nohil, vice president; Sham Lal, secretary; Pritam Singh, cashier and Kernail, Hem Raj, Soul, Suram and Om Parkash were made members.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Kernail Chand, Panch; Hem Raj, Panch; Suram Chand, Panch; Saol Singh, Panch; Bittu Ram, Girdhari Lal and others.
