JAMMU, Mar 8: MLA R S Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat today kick-started black-topping work in Miran Sahib. A function was organized at Miran Sahib Chowk and after paying tributes to the Baba Buta Ji Maharaj Dr. Gagan started the blacktopping of the road from the new bridge near the Chatha Campus of the SKUAST University. The blacktopping work of the road was the long pending demand of the locals.
Senior officials of the Indian Army also accompanied Dr. Bhagat. They included Brigadier. A. Bose, Colonel Ramesh Daber, and others. They complimented the MLA for his efforts.
While addressing the gathering Dr.Gagan said that the Modi Government at the Centre is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of three regions of the State including drinking water, road connectivity, electricity, health services, drainage system and education, and the Union Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been providing liberal funding to the State for accelerating developmental and economic activities.
He said that State is being developed in all respects to showcase it as a major attraction for the visiting tourists. He apprised the people that there was no constraint of funds for completing the ongoing projects in a time bound manner. He also informed that a comprehensive plan has been formulated for up-gradation and expansion of basic facilities to provide all infrastructural facilities to the people of R.S Pura Constituency. He sought cooperation of the people in implementing the development programme on ground level.
