Gambling den busted, 11 held with Rs 4.61 lakh stake money

JAMMU, Oct 18: Police busted gambling den with the arrest of 11 gamblers along with Rs 4.61 lakh stake money and playing cards from Chowadhi area.
As per police spokesman, teams from Channi Himmat police station and Sainik Colony police post conducted raid in Chowadhi area and busted a gambling den by arresting 11 persons along with Rs 4.61 lakh stake money.
The gamblers have been identified as Khadim Hussain, son of Ahmed Din of Chowadhi, Hanif Hussain, son of Bashir Mohammad of Nai Gujjar Basti Smailpur, District Samba, Sunil Kumar, son of Jagdish Raj of Jain Bazar, Ajay Choudhary, son of Prem Choudhary of Digiana, Saleem Mohammad, son of Rashid Ahmed of Chowadhi, Javed Choudhary, son of Rahim Din of Chowadhi, Ghulam Qadir, son of Diwan Ali of Chowadhi, Ankaj Sharma, son of Om Parkash Sharma of Model Town Gangyal, Yogesh Kumar, son of Des Raj of Hiranagar, District Kathua, Faryad Ali, son of Bashir Ahmed of Chowadhi and Anoop Singh, son of Balbir Singh of Model Town Gangyal.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Channi Himmat police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Channi Himmat Inspector Sajjad Haider and assisted by Incharge Sainik Colony police post SI Mohammad Irfan made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Shaazad Ahmed Salaria.
