JAMMU, Oct 20: Khour police busted a gambling den with the arrest of five persons and recovery of Rs 20,830 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Khour police station conducted raid in an open field at Khour and busted a gambling den.
Police arrested five persons on the spot and recovered Rs 20,830 stake money and playing cards from the spot.
The accused have been identified as Jatinder Singh alias Kaka, son of Pashori Singh and Sanjay Singh, son of Sohan Singh, both residents of Khour, Ravi Kumar, son of Puran Chand of Sainth, Sunny Singh, son of Tarsem Singh and Sahil Singh, son of Sikander Singh , both residents of Dehrian.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against the accused at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Khour police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta busted the gambling den under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Naresh Singh, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
