JAMMU, Jan 3: District Ganderbal of Jammu and Kashmir has been ranked among the top 12 winners of the World Toilet Day Contest 2018, organized by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India.
Total 412 districts from 25 States and Union Territories took part in the contest, which was held from November 9 to November 19, 2018, across the country to re-intensify the Swachh Bharat Jan Andolan at the grassroot level.
This competition was led by District Collectors/Magistrates and CEO (Zila Parishads). This period witnessed immense mass mobilization towards a clean India through sustained ODF status and IEC and SLWM activities.
