JAMMU, Mar 23: KK Gandhi, noted painter of the State brought laurel to the State by receiving ‘Artist of the Day’ award at Jaipur Art Festival 2013, where more than 150 artists across the world took part.
During the 7-day mega art festival, which started on March 18, only KK Gandhi completed his huge canvas of size 4’x 6’ within six hours on the first day of the festival.
Dazzled by the virtuosity of Gandhi, organizers of the festival conferred upon him ‘Artist of the Day’ award.
Executed works were put on display for sale in the exhibition, out of which works of only seven artists got sold in handsome amount including KK Gandhi.
Meanwhile, Jaipur Gandhi got invitations for holding sponsored solo shows from the prominent art galleries of Jaipur and participating in various painters’ camps across the Country.
