JAMMU, Dec 5: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment, Amrik Singh Reen, today alleged that the incumbent MLA remained a failure to address the local issues of the constituency owing to his short outlook.
Addressing various meetings in the constituency, Reen said that insanitation issues remained unaddressed by the ruling MLA. Filthy roads, lanes, drains and streets have become the identity of this important part of Jammu city. Huge dumps of garbage lying in open mark the entry of outsiders into the constituency but the incumbent MLA has never bothered to work on the same due to his lack of foresightedness, he added.
“People have to go through sleepless nights in summers due to aberrant and irregular power cuts in this prime location of the city but the MLA who remained minister in the six year coalition could not redress this issue. So expecting a transition by giving him another term would be a waste of vote”, said Reen.
Reen further said that development in the constituency has been confined up to the re-metaling of the roads and re-tiling of the streets. He added that the power scenario has gone from bad to worse under the incumbent MLA but the man in power continued to benefit his close aid and workers for some political benefits.
He said PDP has emerged as the voice of people both in valley and in Jammu due to its people friendly policies which an era of three year under the PDP Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister is a testimony.
Reen urged the voters to support the candidates with secular vision and for development of the constituency.
Meanwhile, Reen along with senior party leaders and supporters also opened the party office at Bahu Fort area.
