Gandhi to judge art exhibition by IAFA Amritsar

JAMMU, Oct 7: KK Gandhi, son of the soil and globally acclaimed artist, has been bestowed the honor to head the panel of 3 judges for selecting the list of final awardees in all India exhibitions and competitions of the artworks received from artists from all over the country by the Indian Academy of Fine Arts (IAFA), Amritsar.
IAFA is the oldest art institution in India promoting art and culture in the region and is affiliated with the National Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi. The Academy holds national and international exhibitions every year. This is the 89th edition of the series.
Initially, 952 artworks of prominent budding and established artists sent their entries in the competition from all over the country. There were two stages of judgment – the first was to shortlist the worth of giving awards, in that category there were about 339 artworks out of which the final verdict was to be delivered for giving a prestigious award by the Academy.
